§About the Listing
§A Fanlisting?"[A fanlisting is] simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join." --The Fanlistings This fanlisting is for the song This Love, by Angela Aki, which was released on May 31 on Angela's This Love single. It debuted on TV on April 8, 2006, as Blood+'s third ending song, on the series' 26th episode. This Love also serves as an image song for the Japanese dub of the Korean movie Daisy. "The song has a theme of, "If you believe in your strength, you can love freely". In this song, I sing that it's important to believe in your strength. If I believe in myself, I can take a step forward. It's a self-written message to myself. Of course, it's also important to believe in your friends and family, but this song is really about believing in your own dreams and talents. The lyrics, "I'm waiting for a miracle // So just connect these hands together" are about that if you believe, just one step forward can mean so much, and you can change from it."--Angeal Aki on "This Love" When I first heard what the third Blood+ ending song would be (which actually wasn't long after the second Blood+ endings began their run) I was overjoyed. I adore Angela Aki, and to find out that she was going to sing the ending for one of my favorite anime series just blew me away. When the "This Love" ending actually started airing, the fansubbers were a bit behind in episodes, so I watched Angela's ED on YouTube, and got a TV rip from a forum, and absolutely loved the song, and the ending video (especially the Saya/Hagi-ness :D ). Then the PV came out, and it became clear that not only was This Love and excellent song, but that the ending edit was a very, very good sample of the real thing. This Love is truly one of the most beautiful songs I've heard, and is certainly one of, if not the, absolute best song Angela's done. If you haven't yet had a chance to hear it, please check out the extras for a sample download! |
